 TROOPS OF OPERATION WHIRL STROKE ARREST HIGH PROFILE CRIMINAL IN BENUE COMMUNITY Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE arrested a high-profile suspected criminal during an intelligence-driven operation in Agasha Village of Guma Local Government Area, Benue State, following a report of an attack on a local resident. The operation was launched on 13 March 2026 after security agencies received credible information regarding an attack on Mr Shaapera Seeta Michael in Agasha Village. Acting swiftly on the report, troops of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Intervention Battalion XI deployed under Operation WHIRL STROKE mobilised immediately to the affected area to track down the suspect responsible for the assault. Upon arrival, the troops cordoned the area to prevent the suspect from escaping while conducting a targeted search operation aimed at identifying and apprehending the alleged attacker.     *Suspect was alleged to be mentally retarded for eight years*
Today 25/04/2020 at about 9:45am, One Mr Timothy Ezeofor 'M' of Umuezegoro Kindred Unuchiana Village reported at Aguata Police Station that at about 8:am of same day, his Elder Brother namely Godwin Ezeofor 'm' Aged 70years of the same address was allegedly murdered by his son one Chigorom Ezeofor 'm' aged about 37 years of the same address using Axe.The Complainant added that the Suspect has been mentally ill for the past Eight years.
Following the report,Police Operatives attached to Aguata Division led by the DPO CSP Ayeni Oluwadare mobilised to scene, the victim was photographed and rushed to the hospital where he was certified dead by a medical Doctor and corpse deposited at the Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
Meanwhile, exhibit recovered and the suspect who "look insane" was arrested and taken to the station for discreet investigation to ascertain circumstances surrounding the incident,please.
