 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.     Today Tuesday 7/4/2020 Sir Emeka Offor Foundation donated one truck of Consumable and Non Consumable Medical Equipment/Supplies to the Nigeria Police Medical Services as part of it's social responsibility to support the Police at this period of National Emergencies.The Consignment includes some personal and protective equipment needed in the fight against the spread of COVID -19 which has become a global pandemic.
Responding on behalf of the Inspector-general of Police *IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu,NPM,mni during a brief Ceremony at the foundation's Office in Oraifite,the Commissioner of Police CP John B. Abang,fdc* thanked the foundation for remembering the police and also extended the appreciation of the Inspector-general of Police. The CP further assured the Coordinator Sir Emeka Offor foundation Hon.Sir Tony Obi that the consignment will be delivered accordingly and be utilized judiciously for the purpose it was meant for.
Meanwhile,the Consignment also contains books donated to the Force Education Department of the Nigeria Police Force.
