 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.      The Lagos State Government, through its Ministry of Health, has debunked the reports making the rounds suggesting that the Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi has tested positive to COVID-19, describing the news as absolute falsehood, fabricated by mischief makers.
A statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs in the Ministry, Mr. Tunbosun Ogunbanwo urged the public to disregard the information in its entirety, saying the authors are out to create unnecessary panic and fear amongst the populace.
Ogunbanwo affirmed that Professor Abayomi is hale, hearty and in good health, as he diligently continues to discharge his responsibilities as the Deputy Incident Commander of the COVID19Lagos Intervention Team constituted to battle the deadly virus in Lagos.
The statement implored citizens to desist from disseminating fake news and implored those who seek and share information to rely only on the official and verified communication channels - @followlasg and @LSMOH for COVID19Lagos news.
