 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.     President Buhari approves Dr. Isa Pantami’s recommendation for the reappointment of Professor Danbatta as ‪the Executive Vice Chairman‬ of Nigerian Communications Commission.

 PRESS RELEASE:

In an effort to consolidate the gains made in the telecommunications sector,in line with the National Digital Economy Policy and strategy,President Muhammadu Buhari approved the reappointment of Professor Umar Garba Danbatta as the Executive Vice Chairman,Nigeria n Communications Commission.
Professor Danbatta's reappointment was based on the recommendation of the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy,Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim {Pantami},FNCS,FBCS,FILM, in line with the Nigerian Communication Act,2003.
While wishing Professor Danbatta the best,the Honourable Minister directed him to significantly improve on the overall performance of the Commission as well as ensure that adequate mechanisms are put in place to facilitate the implementation of all policies of Federal Government through the Ministry.Furthermore,the Honourable Minister enjoined him to ensure that the interest of telecommunication consumers,Nigerians and investors are adequately protected.
