 M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Rwanda denies supporting M23 and has blamed Congolese and Burundian forces for the renewed fighting. ANAMBRA: UMUZOCHA VILLAGE ARRESTS THREE INDIGENS OF AWKA FOR ROBBERY, ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF STOKEN ITEMS.{PHOTO}.

Before the reporter could arrive Umuzocha Village Awka where the incident took place and the village hall where  the suspects were said to be  paraded before the public, the suspects have been taken to an unknown destination.


Meanwhile, eyewitnesses have confirmed to the reporter that three people who are of Awka origin were arrested  by the youths of Umuzocha Village over  alleged robbery and criminal possession of item( Keke Na Pepe)


Eyewitnesses could not reveal the names of the suspects but said that upon interrogation, the suspects confessed  respectively that ,they are from Umuayom,Amudo and Amachalla Village Awka


While  source outside Umuzocha Village Awka gave a different account of the story . The source  asserted that among the suspects that invaded the village, only one of  the suspects was arrested , and that the arrested suspect is from Amudo Village and by name,  Onyebuchi.
