 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. 30 Residents Die In Fresh Attacks In Jos, Several Houses Burnt


Many people have been reportedly killed at Yelwan Zangam community in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

According to Daily Trust, several houses were also burnt down in the attacks which reportedly claimed more than 30 lives.


This is coming barely one week after 27 travelers were killed in Gada-biyu – Rukuba road, still in Jos North LGA.


Yakubu Bagudu, a resident, confirmed the fresh attack on Wednesday morning.


He said more than 30 people were killed, adding that security personnel had been deployed in the area.


The Plateau State Police Command is to is yet to give details of the incident, as at the time of filing this report.
