An Oyo state high court sitting in Ibadan, Friday ordered the Federal Government of Nigeria to pay the sum of N20billion to Chief Sunday Adeyemo also known as Igboho as damages for the invasion of his residence.
The Department of State Services (DSS) has said that it has not been informed about the court judgment ordering it to pay N20B in damages to Yoruba Nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho.
Peter Afunanya, spokesperson of the DSS who spoke on Friday said the court has not informed the DSS of the judgment.
Meanwhile, The Federal Government is to appeal the judgment of an Oyo State High Court which awarded N20 billion in damages against the Attorney-General of the Federation, AGF, and the State Security Service, SSS.
The AGF, Abubakar Malami announced the decision of the Federal Government to appeal the judgment while speaking on the development in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja on Friday.
