 Recording Academy adds five new Grammy categories, updates rules for 2026 awards NEW YORK - The Recording Academy is introducing five new categories and making several rule changes for the 2026 Grammy Awards in an effort to reflect the evolving global music landscape. Among the new additions is a best Asian pop music performance category, which will honor performances across genres such as K-pop, J-pop, C-pop and other Asian pop styles, with the award going to performers. A new best traditional pop vocal performance category will recognize artists whose work does not fit within modern pop styles. A best Latin song category will spotlight songwriters for Spanish-language Latin recordings. Changes are also coming to existing categories in R&B and folk music. The academy is adding a best R&B collaboration or duo/group performance category alongside a revised best R&B solo performance award. PRESIDENT BUHARI CONDOLES WITH SENATOR FOLARIN ON LOSS OF WIFE, ANGELA

 

President Muhammadu Buhari extends heartfelt condolences to Senator Teslim Folarin, the lawmaker representing Oyo Central senatorial district, his children, family members, and friends who mourn the passing of the Senator's wife, Chief (Barr.) Angela Nwaka Folarin.
 
The President's prayers and thoughts are with the Folarins as they grieve the departure of a beloved wife and mother, urging them to find solace and strength in the truth that the Almighty God is always with us through the good and difficult seasons of life.

It is with a heavy heart that I received the news of the death of Barr. Angela Nwaka Folarin, the amiable wife of the senator representing Oyo Central, Sen. Teslim Folarin.

The news came as a shock and with disbelief. Losing one's wife, especially in her prime, is not only painful but heartbreaking, however, we take solace in the fact that Barr. Angela lived a good life in service to humanity.

I pray God to console the Folarin family, especially the senator and his children, over this irreparable loss. I also pray for a peaceful resting place for Barr. Angela Folarin.-Gbajabiamila.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
