 JAMB Releases 2026 UTME Mop-Up Results, Set to Begin Candidate Ranking The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise. This crucial update marks the end of the testing phase for the current academic session, paving the way for the next stage of the tertiary admission process. According to a statement issued by JAMB's Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, candidates who sat for the mop-up examination can now access their performance details through the board's approved result-checking channels. Candidate Ranking and Admission Letter Printing With the mop-up results now live, JAMB is transitioning immediately into the screening and placement phase. #PhotoNews: The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, fdc with other members of the Force Management Team, during a visit to commiserate with the family of the Late Deputy Inspector-General of Police, DIG Joseph Egbunike, today, 9th March, 2022 at DIGs’ Quarters, Gana Street, Maitama Abuja.
CONDOLENCES: IGP ALKALI EULOGISES EGBUNIKE
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, fdc, with other members of the Force Management Team, today March 9, 2022, paid a condolence visit to the widow and family of the late DIG Joseph Obiajulu Egbunike, at their Abuja residence.

While commiserating with the family, the IGP urged them to be strong, and focussed on upholding the legacies of their husband and father. The IGP equally restated that the late DIG was a man of much knowledge, resourcefulness and commitment to diligence in his lifetime. The IGP noted that the Nigeria Police Force is generally pained to have lost a dedicated senior officer who had put in 34 years, 7 months meritorious service to his fatherland.

The Inspector-General of Police therefore assured that deliberations are in top gear in conjunction with the family to arrange a befitting burial rite for the departed Deputy Inspector-General of Police, whose impactful experience will be greatly missed in the Police and Nigeria at large.
