 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. 2023: MAKU WITHDRAWS FROM PDP GUBER PRIMARIES.(PHOTO).

Former Nigeria's Minister of Information, Labaran Maku has formally withdrew from the ongoing gubernatorial primaries of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State. 

Maku announced his withdrawal from the contest at Youth Centre Nasarawa, venue of the exercise. 

Now left to battle for the party's ticket are former two-term House of Reps Member, Dr. David Emmanuel Ombugadu (Mai Wanka) and newcomer, Major-General Nuhu Ekpaji Angbazo (rtd.)
