 Gov. Ododo’s Executive Proclamation Not State of Emergency  Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo  has clarified that his recent Executive Proclamation on security protocols in the state is not a declaration of a state of emergency but a set of necessary measures to enhance the security architecture to crackdown on criminals in all parts of the state.  This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Hon. Ismaila Isah, explaining that the proclamation is a lawful constitutional measure aimed at strengthening security coordination and protecting lives and property across Kogi State.  Gov. Ododo emphasized that it is within his powers as the Chief Security Officer of the state under Section 14 subsection 2(b) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended). Aspire Foundation, Anambra Government Seek Establishment of FC Bayern Munich Academy In The State


Aspire Foundation, in partnership with Anambra State Government has appealed to Bayern Munich FC of Germany to expedite plans for the establishment of an African Academy in Anambra State.

The Chairman, Board of Trustees of Aspire Foundation, Dr Emeka Okeke, alongside the Chairman, Anambra State Sports Development Commission, Mr Tony Oli made the appeal while receiving the German technical team for the 2022 FC Bayern Youth Cup Nigeria, held in Awka.

The FC Bayern Youth Cup is the world’s biggest and oldest international youth football tournament carried out by the prestigious football club. 

Since its introduction in 2012, it has been conducted on a yearly basis in cooperation with existing FC Bayern partners in selected countries including Brazil, China, India, Italy, Japan, Myanmar, Nigeria, Singapore, Thailand and the USA, and is aimed at giving children worldwide the chance to show their talent, irrespective of their social backgrounds.

According to Mr Oli, who expressed delight with the club to finding Anambra State worthy to host the tournament, made possible by the good football stadium and atmosphere of the State, appealed to the club to see the State as a destination for its African Academy and assured them of the state government’s commitment to providing all that is required to actualize the project. 

On his part, Dr Okeke noted that the attraction of the Bayern Youth Cup to Anambra State is part of the Foundation's project plans to develop football in Anambra State.

The BOT Chairman, who spoke through the Director, Programme Development and Implementation of the Foundation, Mr Toochukwu Onwubuche, pointed out that they had earlier held the Anambra Super Eight tournament and organized capacity building for coaches in the state aimed at preparing talented young people for such opportunities at all times

For Mr Obinna Edeh, the Proprietor of VOE Foundation and representative partner of Bayern Munich FC in Nigeria, no fewer than 100 budding talents between the ages of 15-16 from 10 football clubs across the country were selected for the tournament.

Mr Edeh said 10 successful players from the event would be sent abroad in October this year, where they would be nurtured by the FC Bayern and mentored to stardom.

Contributing, the team leader of FC Bayern Youth Cup Technical Team, Hans Pflugler, a retired German footballer, while expressing hands of fellowship to the State, commended the quality of the stadium, which he said conformed with world standard and assured the State of better things to come.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
