 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. LASBCA DEMOLISHES SEVEN DISTRESSED BUILDINGS IN MUSHIN


No fewer than seven distressed buildings in the Mushin area of the State have been demolished by the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) to avoid an imminent collapse that would have claimed several innocent lives and destroyed property worth millions of Naira.

The seven distressed buildings located at Abiodun Wright Street, Itire Road and Gbadamosi Iginla Street in Mushin were pulled down by officials of LASBCA as a proactive step to save residents. 

Speaking during the demolition of the distressed buildings on Thursday, the General Manager of LASBCA, Arc. Gbolahan Oki, lamented the level of disregard for vacation notices issued by the agency on different occasions to occupants of the buildings and others in different parts of the State.
