 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. POLICE REFORM: PRESIDENCY, IGP ORGANIZE STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION TRAINING FOR POLICE PROs


• Highlight Road Maps for Effective Reform

The Presidency, under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, and the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, fdc, have partnered with the United National Development Programme (UNDP) for a 3-day training in strategic communications for Police Public Relations Officers (PPROs) of the Nigeria Police Force. The programme, organized by the CLEEN Foundation, which is ongoing, was declared open on Monday 24th May, 2022 in Lagos State.

The training is the first part of a series targeted at developing strategies for better police-citizen communication in line with the Presidential mandate on police reforms and had in attendance the Force Public Relations Officer, 28 Zonal and State Command PROs, as well as Staff Officers from the Force PRO’s office. It is aimed at building the capacity of Police PROs, strengthening police communication to bridge trust deficit between the police and the public, and highlighting road maps for effective reforms. 
 
The Inspector-General of Police, reiterating his commitment to training and human capacity development, appreciated the president and other stakeholders for his reform efforts geared at bestowing the nation with a modernized, citizen-led, rule of law-guided, and professional Police Force.
