 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. HAJJ 2022: OVER 500 FIRST SET OF ADAMAWA PILGRIMS AIRLIFTED 


Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Monday while addressing the first batch of intending Muslim Pilgrims to Saudi Arabia reminded them of the importance of religious obligation which requires them to adhere strictly to the teachings of Islam by the prophet Muhammad regarding the conduct of Hajj.

The Governor charged intending pilgrims to be good ambassadors of Adamawa State in the holy land.

He appeals to them to avoid getting involved in criminal activities such as drug trafficking and other vices which are capable of tarnishing the good image of the state and the nation at large.

He also reminded the intending pilgrims of the essential ingredients of a rewarding Hajj which is intention. And as a Muslims Muslim, they are expected to carry each other along and exhibit the spirit of togetherness and patriotism by assisting each other at all times

He equally asks them to pray for Adamawa and Nigeria at large.
