 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Anambra State Government Demolishes Structures At Fegge, Onitsha



Anambra State Government has continued the removal of shanties and Illegal structures located along Pineapple Market (Ogbo Pineapple) Woliwo and Silas Work, Waterways, Fegge Onitsha.

The government taskforce arrived Onitsha this morning to continue from where they stopped last week.

Speaking to the press, some residents around the area, Christian Igwe, Chibueze Jonathan and Obinze Odenigbo said that blockage of drainage channels during the rainy season caused flood water to pass through wrong channels there destroying people's life and property.

They commended the state government and tasked them on being relentless in the fight to reclaim the Anambra space..
