 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. EFCC Secures Conviction of Internet Fraudster in Lagos

The Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, secured the conviction and sentencing of one Badmus Usman Olaitan to one year in prison for romance scam before Justice O.O.
Abike-Fadipe of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos. Olaitan was arraigned on an amended one-count charge. 

The count reads: "Badmus Usman Olaitan, on or about the 20th day of January 2022 in Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, with intent to defraud, had in your possession a document titled Google account personal info and other related documents for romance dating scam printed from your gmail account, which you knew to be false." He pleaded “guilty” to the charge.
