 NDLEA secures order to detain vessel, 21 crew members over cocaine shipment from Brazil  . We remain resolute to frustrate drug syndicates targeting Nigeria, says Marwa The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has secured an order of a Federal High Court in Lagos to detain a ship, its captain and 20 other crew members following the seizure of 25.5 kilograms of cocaine in the hatch of the commodity vessel from Brazil at the Apapa seaport in Lagos by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). Operatives of the NDLEA acting on credible intelligence had on 6th December 2025 discovered the cocaine consignment aboard the merchant vessel MV San Anthonio from Brazil. After the full discharge of cargo from the ship, a total of 21 crew members of diverse nationalities including Russia, Phillipines, Ukraine and Azerbaijan were taken into NDLEA custody along with the drug exhibits. •Receives Delegation Of Olowo-In-Council 

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, has continued to receive dignitaries and sympathisers from far and near over the death of his mother, Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu (JP).

The Governor’s mother died yesterday at her Kopindogba residence in Ibadan, Oyo State capital. 

Receiving the delegation of Olowo-in-Council in Ibadan on Friday, Governor Akeredolu appreciated the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye for sending his chiefs to pay condolence visit to him.

The Governor disclosed that his mother will be buried in Owo. 

He noted that the late Lady Evangelist Akeredolu was more of Owo despite hailing from Igbotu in Ese-Odo local government area of Ondo State.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Chief Amos Aladesawe extended the condolences of the Olowo of Owo to the Governor.

“We bring greetings from the Olowo of Owo. He said we should extend his heartfelt condolences. And also congratulate you for surviving your mother. He said he’s with you in the spirit", Aladesawe said.
