 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. Dubai Police fulfills Child of Determination Dream of being a Police Officer
 
The Dubai Police, represented by the Security Awareness Department, has fulfilled the wish of a child of determination by helping him experience being a police officer for one day after receiving a request from his father.
 
Butti Ahmed bin Darwish Al Falasi, director of the Security Awareness Department in the General Department of Community Happiness at Dubai Police, said that this kind gesture is part of Dubai Police's 'Fulfil a Child's Wish' initiative, which aims to spread happiness and positivity among children of different ages and nationalities.
 
Therefore, a team from the Security Awareness Department welcomed Raad Tariq Salah Badawi at the Dubai Police General HQ and gifted him a police uniform and toys from Hamleys. He also toured the Smart Police Station (SPS).
 
Raad was also surprised and entertained by a special K9 show by the Security Inspection Department (K9) at Dubai Police.
 
Major Ali Yousef Al Ali, Head of the Cultural Diversity Department in the Security Awareness Department, stressed the Dubai Police's keenness to enhance security and safety and instil happiness among community members.
 
The child's father expressed gratitude to the police for their swift and generous response and for fulfilling his child's wish, which ensured his happiness.
