 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Halima Abubakar Quits Nollywood

Popular actress, Halima Abubakar has disclosed that she is quitting the movie industry.

The actress through her management, made the announcement in an Instagram post on Monday.

The post read: “Halima Abubakar quits acting. We are so grateful for all the prayers, God bless you all. We love you all. Thank you for your support. She is so downcast. She really did love acting.”

This comes after Halima announced on Instagram that she had been treating an undisclosed illness for a long time.

The actress also accused the founder of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide Apostle Johnson Suleman of being responsible for the illness.

Halima began her acting career in 2001.

She has starred in movies such as Men in Love, Slip of Fate, Tears of a Child, White Hunters and Area Mama.
