 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. 38 Parents Of Missing Chibok Girls Die In Three Years

The president of the Missing Chibok Girl’s Parent Association, Yakubu Nkeki, has said that 38 parents of the missing girls have died in the first three years of the incident. 

He made this known at an art exhibition whichheld in Ikoyi, Lagos on Saturday.

Nkeki said, “It’s not a small test for Chibok families. I want to share with you, almost 38 parents died, refused to eat, no help rendered to them during the first, second and third years of these girls in captivity.

It gives me a tough time to organise the families and get together, you know we are from different locations in Chibok Local Government.

I have to use a bicycle and ride almost 50km to see some of the parents.”
