  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. Ogbo-Ogwu Market Fire: Anambra Health Commissioner, Obidike Visits The Injured 



Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike joined in the rescue operation of injured persons during the fire incident that engulfed Ogbo-Ogwu International Market, Onitsha yesterday. 

The tragic incident was suspectedly from a chemical explosion in the market.

Dr. Obidike who was present at the scene of the incident commended the efforts of the  State Fire Service, market leaders and other good-spirited individuals for their commitment to rescuing the affected persons as well as conveying them to the hospitals for treatment.

According to Dr. Obidike, the suspected chemical explosion happened at the Government line in the market and unfortunately many people got injured, while some lost their lives and goods worth millions of naira got lost.

He said that the Anambra state government is deeply saddened by the loss of lives, injuries and material losses recorded as a result of the unfortunate incident.

The commissioner explained that his visits to Delta state and White Specialist Hospitals were to ensure that those who sustained various degrees of injuries were receiving adequate medical attention.

Dr. Obidike noted that Gov. Chukwuma Soludo has been briefed on the incident and that was why he was directed  to ensure that the injured received adequate medical attention.
