 Gov. Ododo’s Executive Proclamation Not State of Emergency  Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo  has clarified that his recent Executive Proclamation on security protocols in the state is not a declaration of a state of emergency but a set of necessary measures to enhance the security architecture to crackdown on criminals in all parts of the state.  This was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Hon. Ismaila Isah, explaining that the proclamation is a lawful constitutional measure aimed at strengthening security coordination and protecting lives and property across Kogi State.  Gov. Ododo emphasized that it is within his powers as the Chief Security Officer of the state under Section 14 subsection 2(b) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended). ASWAMA Fixes Fresh Date For December Sanitation Exercise In Anambra.



The Anambra State Waste Management Authority, ASWAMA, has said that this month's sanitation exercise will now hold on Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 7am to 10am, in order to prepare the state's environment for the christmas and year festivities.

According to a release signed by the Managing Director of ASWAMA, Mr Mike Ozoemena, all residents of Anambra are encouraged to participate fully in the exercise by cleaning their surroundings and desillting all water channels.

The statement noted that all forms of human or vehicular movements are prohibited within the hours of the exercise as offenders will be apprehended and sanctioned accordingly.

It further reminded Ndi Anambra of the state government's policy on door to door collection of refuse and enjoined everyone to neatly bag their wastes and leave them in front of their homes for adequate disposal by the state waste management body.
