 Kebbi Govt Donates 10 Hilux Vehicles to Boost Security on Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway  The Kebbi State Government has handed over 10 brand-new Hilux vehicles to the Federal Ministry of Works to strengthen security for personnel working on the Sokoto–Badagry Super Highway project. The vehicles were formally received by the Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who praised Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasiru Idris (Kauran Gwandu), for the donation. Goronyo described the gesture as a clear demonstration of the state government’s commitment to protecting workers and contractors on the strategic highway corridor. He explained that the vehicles will be deployed exclusively to security operatives providing cover for construction teams along the section of the super highway passing through Kebbi State. ... Makes Alternative Provision for Urgent Cases During Break

Lagos State Chief Judge, Justice Kazeem Alogba has announced that Lagos Judiciary will begin its Y2022 Christmas vacation on December 23, 2022, and resume work on Tuesday, 3rd of January, 2023.

A release signed by Acting Chief Registrar, Mr. Tajudeen Elias said the Lagos State Chief Judge, Kazeem Alogba had approved the vacation pursuant to order 49 rule 4(c) and 5 of the High Court of Lagos State (Civil Procedure) Rules 2019.

Elias added that arrangements for dealing with urgent cases during the Christmas vacation are that each judge will deal with all urgent applications related to any substantive case already assigned to him/her.

According to him, “Any urgent application (the substantive case of which has not already been assigned) will be dealt with by the judge to whom the application is specifically assigned.”

“Notwithstanding the provisions of Order 49, Rule 4 (supra) any case or matter may be heard by a judge during the period of the Christmas vacation where such a case or matter is urgent, provided that the conditions prescribed by Order 49 Rule 5 (supra) shall be observed and complied with”, he added.
