 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo serves as captain of football team at his alma mater's novelty match 

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Monday, January 24, served as the captain of the football team of Baptist Boys High School (BBHS), Abeokuta in a football novelty match played to celebrate the college's 100th anniversary.

Obasanjo was the star attraction for spectators at the novelty match which was between old students of the college and former teachers of the school. The former president scored a hattrick to end it 3-0 in favor of his side.
