 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  *Ekwunife Condemns Gruesome Killing of President General of Obosi Community*


---Calls for Investigations Into Cult-Related Killings In Okpuno, and Ifite Awka.


The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, PhD, has condemned in its strongest terms the gruesome killing of the President General of Obosi Community, Hon. Sir Ike Okolo at a petrol station by gunmen, on January 2, 2023.


Ekwunife expressed sadness over the death of the President General, describing it as a cruel act that should not go unpunished. She noted that Anambra is a peaceful and prosperous state and mindless killing of its citizens is not the dreams of the founding fathers.


The federal lawmaker urged security agencies to thoroughly unravel the circumstances leading to the killing and ensure that the law takes its full course on the perpetrators. Ekwunife further condemned the cult-related killings among rival groups in Okpuno and Ifite Awka both in Awka South local government area of the state.


The Chairman Senate Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation commiserated the entire Obosi, Okpuno and Awka communities over the incidents, and prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of those who lost their lives.
