Lagos police launch investigation as jeweller  accuses its officers of harassment The Lagos State Police Command said it has commenced an investigation into a viral video of a jeweller accusing some policemen in the Festac area of the state of harassing him.  The command disclosed this in an X post on Saturday. The video, which circulated on X on Saturday morning, shows the businessman engaged in a struggle with some policemen. Later in the video, the businessman could be seen with a bloody face after allegedly sustaining a cut beside his right eye during the struggle with the police officers,  The jeweller later explained that the policemen from the Festac Division had stopped him for a routine search. GHANAIAN FOOTBALLER CHRISTIAN ATSU, WHO DIED AFTER AN EARTHQUAKE HIT TURKEY, HAS BEEN BURIED TODAY. (PHOTOS).#RIP.

Ghanaian footballer Christian Atsu, who died after an earthquake hit Turkey, has been buried today. 

The state-assisted funeral for the former Hatayspor club footballer is taking place in Accra, Ghana. 

Atsu was found dead after the earthquake caused the collapse of his apartment in southern Turkey. He will be sorely missed by many, including children at a Ghanaian orphanage that he frequently provided money, food and clothing to. 

“He came to drill a borehole for us, and help us with filters so it can be drinkable”, said Becky Foundation Director, Seth Asiedu. 

Atsu made the kids at the Becky Foundation charity children’s home so happy that they used to call him “father”. 

The Director added that they have organised counselling sessions for the kids “to try and overcome the pain."Thousands of mourners and well-wishers from Ghana and abroad file to the body to pay their last respects.

The winger played 65 times for Ghana's national team and helped his country reach the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations final. 

Atsu will be remembered for his love for humanity, and for supporting the underprivileged in the country.
