 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. CRIME BULLETIN 

The operatives attached to the command made it impossible for kidnappers; Rescue the victim, Two neutralize, and a firearm was retrieved.

The Bauchi state Police Command in its unrelenting commitment to ensuring the security of lives and property in the state has neutralized two kidnappers who attempted to kidnap the victim. 

 On the 3rd March 2023 credible intelligence revealed to the command that, On the same date at about 0100hrs some unknown gunmen invaded the residence of Alhaji Abdulhamid Muhammad at Rafin Cora village via Ningi LGA in an attempt to kidnap his son, One Usman Abdulhamid, age 28yrs.

However, in the process, the victim resisted being taken away by the kidnappers. 

The victim was shot multiple times in his lower abdomen While making an effort to escape.

On receipt of the information, the police operatives jointly with a local vigilante group led by DPO ningi swiftly mobilized to the scene to counter the kidnappers from accomplishing their mission in the village. The kidnappers welcomed police operatives with sporadic gunshots. 

While responding, the Operatives engaged them in a gun duel which forced them to scamper in disarray with possible gunshot wounds.

Consequently, two of the kidnappers met his Waterloo at the spot, while one AK47 was retrieved during the encounter.

The victim was rescued and immediately taken to the federal medical center birnin kudu for treatment. 

 Furthermore, concerted efforts have been intensified in a bid to follow their trail and arrest the fleeing suspects to face the full wrath of the law.
