 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. Court Convicts One for Internet Fraud in Kaduna

The Kaduna Zonal Command has secured the conviction of one Triumph Abdul Yakubu before Justice Darius Khobo of the Kaduna state High Court on a one count charge bordering on internet fraud. 

The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge. In view of his plea, the prosecution counsel, E.K Garba urged the court to convict him accordingly.

Justice Khobo convicted and sentenced the defendant to two years imprisonment with an option of fine of N 150,000 (One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira).

He is also to forfeit the sum of $400USD and his Apple iPhone Pro Max with Model No. GONPFD45D3Y which was used in committing the offence to the Federal Government of Nigeria.

His journey to jail commenced when he was arrested at Rosalux Hotel based on intelligence on his alleged criminal pursuits.
