 U.S announces visa curbs for some foreign nationals in South Africa Secretary of State Marco Rubio ‌said on Tuesday the U.S. government was announcing a new visa restriction ​policy targeting some foreign nationals ​in South Africa. The policy targets "foreign ⁠nationals who are responsible for, ​or complicit in, the enactment or ​implementation of laws or policies that enable uncompensated land seizures, race-based discrimination, and/or ​the incitement of imminent violence ​against members of minority ethnic or racial ‌groups ⁠in South Africa," Rubio said in a statement. "The South African government has not adequately addressed the ​previously laid ​out ⁠concerns," Rubio said, Reuters reported. Relations between Washington and Pretoria have ​soured since the start of ​Donald ⁠Trump's second term, with the U.S. president criticizing the country ⁠for ​its policies aimed at ​addressing racial inequality.

DEPOT NIGERIAN ARMY ZARIA HAS RECRUITED OVER 6000 REGULAR RECRUIT SOLDIERS. (PHOTOS).



Depot Nigerian Army Zaria has recruited over 6000 Regular Recruit soldiers. 

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt-General Faruk Yahaya stated this during the passing out parade of 84 Regular Recruit Intake at Chindit Cantonment in zaria. 

He said the aim of the traineen was to increase the manpower requirements of the Nigerian Army in order to meet its constitutional responsibility. 

The Chief of Army Staff said considering the numerous security challenges bedevilling the nation, the derive to increase recruitment has became imperative because it will aid in surmounting the current security challenges orchestrated by non-state actors resulting in the wanton destruction of lives and properties across the country. 

He said Depot Nigerian Army since its establishment in 1924 has continuously moulded selected able-bodied civilians into discipline soldiers to meet the demands for the Nigerian Army and the nation large. 

 The Chief of Army Staff therefore assured the institution of his total commitment and support towards improving the standard of training as well as the welfare of recruits, instructors and staff of the institute. 

He said Depot Nigerian Army is pivotal to Nigerian Army 's efforts towards addressing the various security challenges in the country and will therefore continue to receive the needed logistics and administrative support to sustain and improve its training activities. 

He congratulated the recruits for the successful completion of their initial soldier training at the institute and also implore them to be good ambassadors of the institute.

He also urged them to imbibe the spirit of hard work,discipline and loyal to the connstituted authority.
