 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Veteran pop star CHRIS MBA has passed on. 

He has been down for a while with heart desease and finally gave up the fight yesterday at LUTH
Signed to Premier Records, the singer was popular in the 80s for his signature jerry curl and hits like 
‘Funky Situation’, 
‘Baby Don’t Cry’, 
‘Making my Way’ and 
‘Love Everlasting’.

He also performed at an evening of tributes organised for the late Ras Kimono by the Copyright Society of Nigeria in August 2018.
