 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. Abiodun approves appointment of six special advisers

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has approved the appointment of six special advisers.

The new appointment is the second to be made by the governor to kickstart his second term in office. He had earlier re-appointed the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Tokunbo Talabi and also approved the appointment of Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo as the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS),

According to a statement e-signed by the SSG, Mr. Oladapo Okubadejo has been appointed as the Chief Economic Adviser to the governor.
Others are, Mr. Olaolu Olabimtan, Special Adviser, Budget and Planning; Jagunmolu Jamiu Akande Omoniyi, Special Adviser, Housing; Engr. Adebowale O. Akinsanya, Special Adviser, Works & Infrastructure; Mr. Olusina Ogungbade, Special Adviser, Justice and Dr. Tomi Coker, Special Adviser, Health.

According to Mr. Talabi, the appointments take immediate effect
