 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Pop Queen Madonna rushed to hospital, intubated in ICU after being found unresponsive

Pop Queen, Madonna, 64,  has been forced to postpone her tour after she was found unresponsive and rushed to a New York City hospital last Saturday, June 24.

According to her manager, the global popstar developed a serious bacterial infection, which led to "a several day stay in ICU".

In a statement, Guy Oseary said Madonna's health is improving, but she is still under medical care.

Sharing the news, he wrote in a statement this evening: "On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several-day stay in the ICU.

He added: "Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour."

He concluded the statement by writing: "We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows."

Her upcoming Celebration tour - which was announced earlier this year - had been due to launch next month. 

The tour is expected to celebrate her decades-long career in the music industry, which has included numerous chart-topping singles such as Like a Prayer, Vogue, and Into the Groove.
