 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. NIGERIA UNDER-20 WOMEN FOOTBALL TEAM TO FACE BURUNDI IN THE SECOND ROUND OF THE 2024 FIFA UNDER-20 WOMEN'S WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS.(PHOTO).

Nigeria’s national under-20 women’s football team have been drawn to face Burundi in the second round of the 2024 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

 

The draw was officially conducted by the Confederation of African Football in Cairo, Egypt.

 

Equatorial Guinea will face Libya, Togo will take on Guinea Bissau, and Mauritius will face off against Chad.

 

The winners from this round will then move on to the second round of the qualifiers.

 

In this round, Ethiopia will take on the winners of the Equatorial Guinea and Libya pairing, while Senegal will face off with Mali.

Nigeria, the semi-finalists at the last edition of competition, will face Burundi while Ghana awaits the winners of the clash between Togo and Guinea Bissau.

 

The matches will take place between September 1 and September 10. While second qualifying round of matches will take place between Oct. 6 and Oct. 15, with the winners heading to the third round of qualifiers scheduled for Nov. 12 to Nov. 19.
