 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. I’m going through challenges beyond me – Singer Charly Boy

Veteran Nigerian singer, Charles Oputa popularly known as Charly Boy has declared that the year hasn’t been favourable to him, saying that he is going through lots of challenges both publicly and privately.

The singer made this known via his Instagram page on Saturday while reacting to the video of Lagos socialite, Farida Sobowale, who attempted suicide at the third mainland bridge during the week.

Speaking on his ordeal, Charly Boy revealed that he fell victim to massive fraud, resulting in the loss of millions of Naira.

He also revealed that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, which has tragically claimed the lives of several of his friends.

He stressed that despite all that has happened to him this year, he is still recovering and keeping his lifestyle simple.

Charly Boy added that the ability to be true to oneself is one of the strongest components of good mental health.

He wrote: “Why would anyone want to kill themself? But suicide is Real, the most underreported phenomenon in Nigeria.

‘For all the pple wey help dis woman not to jump off the bridge, na only God fit bless una. Thank you.

“I have been going through a lot since dis year. I was defrauded in hundreds of millions. I had prostate cancer, which claimed the lives of more than a few friends of mine. In all of it all, am recovering and still keeping it SIMPLE, like my papa teach me.

“We must be very mindful about our mental health. Nothing must pollute our Brain Box.

Part of how I survived my psychotic challenges, being able to be my true self is one of the strongest components of good mental health.

He added: “Open up to people u trust, never isolate urself.”
