 Trump announces Hamas disarmament and Israeli troop withdrawal agreement under Gaza ceasefire plan   President Donald Trump announced Thursday that Hamas has agreed to a plan to disarm and that Israel will withdraw its forces from Gaza as part of a U.S.-backed ceasefire framework. Trump described the agreement as a major step toward creating a new Palestinian government in Gaza that would work with the newly established Board of Peace to oversee the next stages of the plan. The president said the agreement would also provide Israel with increased security by preventing Gaza from being used as a launching point for future attacks. Details of the agreement were limited, and neither Israel nor Hamas immediately released statements responding to Trump’s announcement. The Board of Peace said Hamas had agreed to a roadmap for moving forward with the next phases of the ceasefire after months of negotiations. Police arrests 94 year old man for allegedly defiling a minor

The police in Adamawa state have arrested a 94-year-old man identified as Mohammed Abubakar, for allegedly d£filing a 13-year-old minor in Tappare ward, Ganye local government area. 

The suspect who has been identified as a herbalist, is said to have been in the habit of deceiving young females by giving them sweet items. The police said on August 12 while the victim was passing by the suspect's house, he called her into the house and took advantage of her by having an unlawful c@rnal knowledge of her. 

‘’Investigation, so far reveals that the suspect while committing the act rubbed some concoction in the form of perfume on the victim. Which made the victim ill after the incident. It was as a result of the illness when questioned by her mother, she opened up to her about what had happened.'' The police said
 
The incident was reported to the Divisional Police Headquarters Ganye, by the mother of the victim.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said the state Commissioner of police CP Afolabi Babatola who frowned at the ugly incident has directed the officer in charge of the Family support unit of the command to take over the investigation and ensure diligent prosecution of the perpetrator. 

The Police Boss equally calls on the members of the public particularly parents to be watchful of their wards against criminally minded elements and key into the Command's effort in fighting to end all forms of Gender-based violence.
