 LASG HOSTS Y2024 WOMEN'S ASSEMBLY TO EMPOWER, CELEBRATE WOMEN Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to advancing and empowering women, describing them as the pillars of communities, contributing in numerous ways as mothers, entrepreneurs, educators and leaders.  Governor Sanwo-Olu stated this in his keynote address at the 2024 Women's Assembly for Local Government and Local Council Development Areas organised by the Ministry of Women's Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) at the De Blue Roof, LTV 8 complex, Agindigbi Ikeja.  The Governor, represented by the Secretary to the State Governor, Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, described the Assembly as a critical platform for celebrating women’s contributions and tackling challenges affecting their well-being. Reno Omokri is a Nigerian Actor and a Social media Influencer and also a former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan since after Former President left office in 2015 and Buhari was sworn in Reno has not visited Nigeria in what many seen as fear of not being jailed. And In another separate post he thank and shower praises on Tinubu NSA Mallam Nuhu Ribadu after meeting with him.


Read his statement "I had a very fulfilling meeting with Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser and, in my opinion, perhaps the most patriotic and decent politician in Nigeria that was born after independence. In my opinion, in terms of patriotism, he has no equal. I support everything Mallam Ribadu is doing for our country and pray for his success in his present assignment. " he added.

  SSANU, NASU threaten strike over withheld salaries The Joint Action Committee of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions have threatened to disrupt industrial peace in universities should the government fail to release the withheld salaries of members. The salaries were seized by the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari during their strike in 2022. The unions, in a joint letter signed on Friday by the President of SSANU, Muhammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Peters Adeyemi, questioned the rationale with which the government released four months withheld salaries to members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities but failed to release the withheld salaries of non-academic staff.
