 LAGOS RE-INTRODUCES MONTHLY ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION EXERCISE …Governor, Deputy lead State officials to clean up Mushin corridor Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday, announced the re-introduction of the Monthly Environmental Sanitation in the State. The Governor said the exercise will hold every last Saturday of the Month between the hours of 6:30am and 8:30am but without movement restrictions. He stressed that the exercise would be monitored by State officials with appropriate sanctions to be meted out to erring neighbourhoods and markets. Sanwo-Olu made the pronouncement during a ceremony held in Olosa Bus Stop in Mushin which marked the symbolic flag-off of the monthly sanitation. The Governor, who led his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, and member of the State cabinet on the mission, said the culture of environmental responsibility must be imbibed by the residents across all communities in the state and reflect same in their lifestyle. GOVERNOR UZODIMMA COMMISSIONS NEW GENERAL HOSPITAL IN OHAJI EGBEMA 



In a step towards improving Healthcare infrastructure in the oil-producing region, the Imo State Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has commissioned a general hospital in Umuokanne, Ohaji-Egbema. 


The Governor disclosed that the Government went into partnership with the church for proper staffing and management of the hospital. 


He stated that the Shared Prosperity government is determined to change the narrative in the oil-producing areas of Imo State through the prudent deployment of the 13% derivation meant for oil-bearing communities as provided for under the 1999 constitution. 


Speaking with the press, the Managing Director and CEO of ISOPADEC, Chief Charles Orie poured encomia on the Governor for his backing in making the work of the management seamless. 


In his welcome address, the Chairman of the Board of ISOPADEC, HRH Eze Professor Dele Amuzienwa Odigbo disclosed that building the new hospital was intended to provide affordable healthcare facilities for both preventive and curative medical services to the host communities.
