  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. Ex-corper defiles benefactor’s 13-year-old daughter in Ogun

A 29-year-old man identified as Tayo Adeleke is currently in the custody of the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly defiling his neighbour’s 13-year-old daughter.

PUNCH Metro gathered that the suspect was caught in the act inside the room of the minor’s mother in the Monico area of Ogijo, Ogun State on October 9, 2023.

The victim’s mother identified simply as Mosunmola was said to have returned late from work when she noticed that the light in her apartment had been switched off.

While suspecting that something was not right, she was said to have immediately put on the light, only to see the suspect defiling the minor.

The suspect, who was said to have recently completed his national youth service, was accommodated by the family of the minor.

A family source who chose to speak on condition of anonymity said the family had been feeding the suspect only for him to pay the family back with evil.

“The family has been the most accommodating since his youth service programme. They fed him and were even thinking of getting him a job after his NYSC. He betrayed everyone,” the source told our correspondent on Thursday.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, who confirmed the incident to our correspondent on Thursday, said the case would be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran, Abeokuta, once the preliminary investigation was completed.

 “The suspect has been arrested after the incident was reported by the mother of the victim,” she said.
