 IGP DISU PAYS OPERATIONAL VISIT TO  AKWA IBOM, PRESIDES OVER PASSING-OUT CEREMONY OF 1,068 RETRAINED CONSTABLES The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, today, 30th April 2026, undertook an official visit to Akwa Ibom State, where he paid a courtesy call on the Executive Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, ahead of the passing-out ceremony of retrained Police Constables in Uyo. The engagement with the State Government focused on strengthening institutional collaboration in support of ongoing policing reforms anchored on professionalism, accountability, and intelligence-led operations.  The Inspector-General of Police reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to building a modern, service-driven institution that prioritizes public trust and operational efficiency. OPEBI LINK BRIDGE: LASG ADJUSTS TRAFFIC DIVERSION PLAN FOR RE-CONSTRUCTION OF THOMAS AJUFO/SHERATON LINK BRIDGE.(PHOTO).#PRESS RELEASE

In line with the ongoing construction of the Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Government has adjusted the traffic diversion plan for the reconstruction of Thomas Ajufo inwards Sheraton Link Bridge axis from Monday, 16th October, 2023 for the duration of 4 weeks.


Consequently, the following alternative routes will be available to motorists during the diversion period.

Motorists heading towards Opebi Road will be allowed to use one side of the Opebi Road Carriageway as the construction requires the second lane to be closed.


Also, Motorists heading towards Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way from Allen Avenue/Toyin Street will make use of Toyin Street via Ola Ayinde Street to connect to Ikeja Under Bridge and continue their journeys.


Advisory: Motorists are advised to obey traffic signs and the directives of relevant traffic management authorities to ensure a continuous flow of traffic.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
