 Nonye Soludo highlights sports as a tool for youth character development Wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, has described sports as a powerful tool for character formation and social inclusion among youths in the society. Soludo made the assertion, yesterday, in Awka while flagging off the 2nd edition of the Nonye Soludo Volleyball Championship. The group stage of the championship will be concluded today, while the final will be decided on Saturday. She said the competition was aimed at promoting youth development, teamwork, and healthy competition through sports. She further explained that the tournament is part of efforts to positively engage young people, discover talents and encourage discipline and unity among youths in the state. “This competition will also serve as a platform for nurturing future volleyball stars. OPEBI LINK BRIDGE: LASG ADJUSTS TRAFFIC DIVERSION PLAN FOR RE-CONSTRUCTION OF THOMAS AJUFO/SHERATON LINK BRIDGE.(PHOTO).#PRESS RELEASE

In line with the ongoing construction of the Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Government has adjusted the traffic diversion plan for the reconstruction of Thomas Ajufo inwards Sheraton Link Bridge axis from Monday, 16th October, 2023 for the duration of 4 weeks.


Consequently, the following alternative routes will be available to motorists during the diversion period.

Motorists heading towards Opebi Road will be allowed to use one side of the Opebi Road Carriageway as the construction requires the second lane to be closed.


Also, Motorists heading towards Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way from Allen Avenue/Toyin Street will make use of Toyin Street via Ola Ayinde Street to connect to Ikeja Under Bridge and continue their journeys.


Advisory: Motorists are advised to obey traffic signs and the directives of relevant traffic management authorities to ensure a continuous flow of traffic.
