 Kaduna Targets ₦120bn IGR In 2026 — KADIRS Chairman   Kaduna State has set an Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) target of ₦120 billion for the 2026 fiscal year, with the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) expected to play a central role in achieving the target. The Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Jerry Adams, FCTI, FNIM, FCE, CNA, disclosed this during the Service’s Annual Performance Review, Work Plan, and Strategic Retreat.  He explained that although the state government approved ₦74 billion as KADIRS’ official revenue target, the Service raised its internal benchmark to ₦80.09 billion to motivate staff to exceed expectations. He further stated that the proposed 2026 budget by the Kaduna State Planning and Budget Commission stands at ₦117.28 billion, with KADIRS expected to generate ₦74.28 billion, while Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) are projected to generate ₦43.24 billion. Sierra Leone Police Arrest Nigerian Man Declared Wanted For Allegedly Killing Girlfriend  

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, has confirmed the arrest of one Benjamin Nnanyereugo for allegedly killing his girlfriend, Augusta Osedion, by the Sierra Leonean police force.

Speaking with our correspondent on Saturday morning, Hundeyin said the Nigerian police have confirmed his arrest.

"He was arrested by the Sierra Leone Police Force, and we are working on extradition of him to Nigeria," he said.

Details of his arrest are still sketchy at the time of filling this report.

Earlier, the Lagos State Police Command had declared Nnanyereugo wanted for the death of his girlfriend.

The police, in a statement, said Nnanyereugo was suspected to have murdered the 21-year-old lady on July 13, 2023, in his home at Oral Estate in the Ajah area of the state.

The statement read in part, "Following the exhaustion of all available options to bring him in, he is declared wanted.

The suspect is 26, approximately 5'95'9 ft tall, and hails from Abia State. He is dark in complexion and speaks English, Igbo, and pidgin English fluently.
