 GUNMEN KILL EX-GUMA COUNCILLOR AT HIS HOME IN BENUE  A former councillor, Hon. Paul Mbatsaver Azahaan, has been killed by gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen in Benue State, sparking fresh fears over insecurity in rural communities. Azahaan, who represented Nzorov Council Ward in Guma Local Government Area, was reportedly attacked late on Saturday night, December 13, 2025, at his residence in Tse Azahaan village, Mbagen, Nzorov Ward. According to local sources, the assailants stormed his home under the cover of darkness and launched a deadly attack, leaving the former councillor dead before fleeing the scene. The killing has plunged the community into mourning and heightened anxiety among residents, many of whom say insecurity has continued to worsen across the area. “How I became a car owner after helping a woman fix her car” — Nigerian man reveals.


“I helped this woman fix her Lexus 570 at Oshodi around 9:00pm when it broke down , I saw loads of money in the car but when I finished she never gave me a dime. She only collected my number. Two weeks later she called me and invited me to an apartment in banana island , she lives alone, very rich. I stayed for a week and when I was going she wired 5 million naira into my access bank account and promised me a car in two days . I am still shocked, this is the car” he said.
