No good deed goes unpunished.  A Florida sea tow captain saved a man from a burning ship only to be shoved overboard and have his boat stolen. This shocking incident occurred near Marco Island on March 6th. On that date, a call went out regarding a burning boat. The captain of a sea tow boat heard the distress call and rushed to provide aid. He was able to quickly locate the burning boat and  discovered 40-year-old, Ryan Deiter, and his dog onboard the burning ship. The minister commended the leadership of the agency for the successes recorded and the proactive efforts towards sourcing alternative funding through the commercialization of research products and public-private partnerships.

Earlier, Dr. Halilu Shaba, the Director-General of NASRDA, appreciated the minister, saying the visit is a testament to the importance placed on the strategic role of science, innovation and technology in shaping the future.

Dr. Shaba acknowledged the minister’s visionary leadership style, adding that NASRDA will maximise his wealth of expertise and passion to advance Nigeria’s space programmes.
