 Terrorists, banditry activities in Northwest have reduced – Shehu Sani Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, has disclosed a decrease in the activities of terrorists and bandits in the Northwest. Sani said the recent killings of some top terrorists’ leaders could have been responsible for the decrease. Posting on X, the former lawmaker wrote: “In the last few weeks, there is a noticeable decrease in terrorist and banditry attacks and kidnappings in the North Western parts of this country. “The elimination of some of the top terrorist leaders must have been responsible.This is commendable and should be sustained.” In the past weeks, notable bandit leaders have been killed in the North. Those eliminated include- Haliru Kachalla Sububu or Buzu, Kachalla Tukur Sharme (killed by rival gang), Sani Black, another prominent bandit leader, killed along with his brother and two children, Kachalla Makore, Kachalla Mai Shayi Kachalla Tsoho Lulu and Mai’Yar Gitta. Arson attack on LG secretariat: We won’t be distracted – Kano Govt
 
Kano State Government says it will not be distracted by the arson attack on Gwale Local Government Area Secretariat, which was razed by hoodlums.

Speaking while inspecting the council secretariat on Saturday, Deputy Governor, Aminu Gwarzo, also warned that legal action will be taken against those found to be behind the incident.

Gwarzo alleged that some unnamed persons wanted to set the state ablaze.

He said, “We are aware of those persons who are hell-bent on creating chaos, hiding behind the Supreme Court upcoming judgement.

“But they will certainly fail because the government of NNPP under Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf is that regime that must ensure peace in Kano.

“They want to show our government in bad light but that would not happen.

“We cannot be distracted by miscreants to abandon our mandate because that is the ultimate goal of those who are creating chaos in Kano. Governor Abba is focused and determined to have his victory no matter what.”
