 Abuja High Court orders INEC to deregister ADC, Accord Party, others Justice Peter Odo Lifu of the Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to immediately deregister the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Accord Party, and others from participating in the 2027 general elections over alleged constitutional breaches. Justice Lifu issued the order on Monday, June 15, while delivering judgment in a suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/2637/2026, and instituted by the Incorporated Trustees of the National Forum of Former Legislators against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and several political parties, including the ADC, Action Alliance, APP, Accord Party, and Zenith Labour Party. The plaintiffs argued that the affected political parties failed to meet constitutional requirements relating to electoral spread and performance. The President/CEO Security Watch Africa Initiatives, Mr Patrick Agwumba, presents Crime Reporters' Association of Nigeria "Initiative Award in NSCDC Image Making," to Deputy Superintendent of Corps Abolurin Oluwaseun, Public Relations Officer ( PRO ), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, for his eloquent, dogged, rugged and prolific and unrepentant strides, which affirm his selfless, sagacious, diligent and outstanding performances over the years, in his quest to professionally, project the image of the NSCDC at home and abroad in this generation.

He received, the award along side so many other distinguished and outstanding serving Generals, Senior Military, Police, Paramilitary officers, government and private sector officials, who have contributed, immensely, to the development of their organizations and Nigeria at large.

The Chairman of the occasion, Dr Solomon Arase, former Inspector - General of Police and Chairman Police Service Commission and other distinguished speakers and panelists are amongst those, who were present at the event, which held today, Thursday, 7th December, 2023, at the Providence Hotel, GRA, Ikeja.
