 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. FIVE ROBBERY SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN AGEGE UNDER BRIDGE,FIR HARASSING AND DISPOSSESSING PASSERSBY OF THEIR VALUABLES. (PHOTOS).#PRESS RELEASE

Yesterday, around 10:30 p.m. operatives of Rapid Response Squad (RRS), acting on credible intelligence arrested five robbery suspects at Agege Under bridge, for harassing and dispossessing passersby of their valuables. 
 
The suspects are: Akeem Alabi (30), Toba Bolu (20), Abah Abdullahi (35), Sulaiman Mohammed (32) and Yusuf Alabi (30).
 
Commander RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi has stated that there would be more sting operations in the area to reduce robbery in the area. 
 
The Commander, acting on the directives of the Commissioner of Police, CP Adegoke Fayoade, has directed that the suspect be charged to court immediately.
