  Chikun/Kajuru Rep, Hon. Fidelix Bagudu, Announces New Appointments To Strengthen Inclusive Governance The Honourable Member representing the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, Hon. Fidelix Joseph Bagudu, has announced a wide-ranging list of new appointments aimed at deepening inclusive governance and enhancing representation across the constituency. The appointments, which take immediate effect, were unveiled in alignment with Kaduna State Governor Senator Uba Sani’s commitment to participatory governance. According to the lawmaker’s office, the list reflects deliberate efforts to ensure fair representation of all wards, communities, and interest groups across Chikun and Kajuru Local Government Areas (LGAs). A statement issued by the Media and Publicity Directorate noted that the move also fulfills the Honourable Member’s campaign pledge to integrate every segment of the constituency into the decision-making and governance structure. Supreme Court Affirms The Election Of Dapo Abiodun As Governor Of Ogun State

The Supreme Court has affirmed the March 18, 2023 election of Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress, as Governor of Ogun state. 

Justice Tijani Abubakar who read the lead judgment of the 5-man panel of the Supreme Court, held that the appeal was unmeritorious and deserved to be dismissed.

The apex court affirmed separate judgments of the lower courts which had dismissed Adebutu's petition for being grossly incompetent and held that Parties should bear their respective costs. 

The unanimous judgment was on the appeal by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and it's candidate in the March 18, governorship election, Ladi Adebutu.

Adebutu had challenged Abiodun’s re-election on the grounds that the Electoral Act, 2022 was not adhered to, citing corrupt practices and issue of non-qualification.

INEC had declared Abiodun winner of the governorship election after polling 276,298 votes to defeat his closest rival Adebutu, who polled 262,383 votes.

This confirmation provides undeniable evidence that the citizens of Ogun State bestowed this mandate upon us, entrusting us with the responsibility of creating a more prosperous and harmonious society for all. We embrace this weighty duty and vow to fulfill it diligently."
