  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. Kwara CJ calls for repositioning of nation's judiciary

The Chief Judge of Kwara state and chairman, Judicial Service Commission, Justice Abiodun Adebara, has called for repositioning of the nation's judiciary to continue to serve as a trusted and impartial
pillar of democracy. 

Speaking at the special session of the High Court to commence the 2023/2024 legal year , Justice Adebara said that the justice system has been plagued by a backlog of cases, delays, corruption, and lack of access to justice for many citizens, especially the poor and marginalized". 

According to him in order to reposition the nation's judiciary there is need to acknowledge and address the challenges that have hampered its effectiveness in the past.

Justice Adebara said we are at a critical juncture in the nation's history where the judiciary must reposition itself as a trusted and impartial
pillar of our democracy. 

He said the judiciary is the final arbiter of justice in the society, adding that it is the responsibility of the judiciary to ensure that every
person is treated fairly and equitably under the law".

The CJ, who said that the challenges would be tackled
head-on, also added that judicial officers would work together to find innovative solutions to ensure
that justice is delivered promptly and efficiently to all. 

Justice Adebara pledged to work tirelessly to address these challenges and to restore the faith of the people in the judiciary.
