 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe. North Carolina man dies after stealing an airplane from a Texas flight school.

22-year-old Logan Timothy James from Stokesdale, North Carolina was pronounced dead at the scene of a dramatic plane crash in Fannin County,Texas.

According to official reports James had stolen the Cesna 172 from ATP Flight school Wednesday night. 

The crash occurred around 8:30 pm in an open field around 10 miles outside of Telephone, Texas.

James was issued his pilot's license in December and was renting an apartment in Allen, Texas. There are no reports on a motive for stealing the aircraft or the specific cause of the crash.
