 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Slain Nabeeha bagged first class at ABU – Uncle

Sherifdeen Al-Kadriyar, one of the uncles of late Nabeeha Al-Kadriyah, who was brutally murdered by bandits last Friday, said she graduated with a first class from the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria. 
He said she would have been awarded the honour at the school’s convocation slated for January 27.
He also said the release of Nabeeha’s remaining sisters late Saturday evoked bittersweet memories within the family.
He said: “You can imagine such a feeling if she had been alive to witness the convocation. However, the situation has further strengthened our faith in Almighty Allah.
“We thank all those that stood by us during this trying period.
“I was the one who went to claim the body of the late Nabeeha. She was brutally murdered and her sister, Najeeba, was forced to see her brutal corpse to traumatise her and others for us to quickly pay the ransom.’’
