 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  FIRST LADY OF THE FEDERATION TO VISIT IMO TOMORROW



-SET TO FLAG OFF THE RENEWED HOPE INITIATIVE SOCIAL INVESTMENT PROGRAMME FOR SOUTHEAST REGION 


In response to the economic challenges, the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu CON, will tomorrow, 28th February 2024, flag off the Southeast Renewed Hope Initiative.


This initiative is aimed at empowering women in the rural areas through agricultural initiatives social investment programme 


The support program for the South-Eastern Geopolitical zone will be unveiled before the First Lady of Imo State, Barr. Mrs. Chioma Uzodimma and other Governor's Wives across the South-East region. 


The Initiative Women Agricultural Support Programme seeks to address these challenges by providing targeted support to women farmers. 


The program includes provisions for access to land, training in modern agricultural techniques, financial assistance, and market linkages. By empowering women in agriculture, the initiative aims to enhance food security, reduce poverty, and promote gender equality in Imo State and the South-Eastern region.
